The brain behind the label Grace Maier Munich is the designer Grace Maier herself. The contradictions already apparent in her name are reflected in her collections. A native of Munich with a Swiss parentage from her Grandmother, Grace Maier not only plays with the époques and decades that serve as her inspiration, but also with contrasts and opposites in materials and cuts. Having graduated in design studies at the international fashion school Esmod München, her couture collection soon attracted international interest.
In order to continue pursuing her passion for couture, a number of couture outfits are produced to match every prêt-à-porter collection that goes on sale.
Her signature and her style are clearly apparent in the various collections, as well as in the accessories and perfumes. She loves to see women feminine, sexy, self-confident and independent, and to dress them accordingly. The collections are specifically designed for women who want to show themselves from their best side, to hide their little problem zones, who do not want to decide between sexy, classic, playful or elegant. Women who are self-confident and who feel good in their skin and in their clothes.
The philosophy of Grace Maier Munich is to create collections that tell stories. The mixture of a wearable prêt-à-porter collection with matching couture models combines the glamorous with all-day wear. The prêt-à-porter collection is very wearable, something for a normal day at the office, for a ladies‘ lunch, but also for going out in the evening. The models nonetheless take us to another time or situation, inviting us to dream a little.
The inspirations, which often come from the past, are juxtaposed with current and coming trends. Thanks to a keen sensitivity and the precise prediction of how trends are flowing, these two elements, the past and the future, are combined to create collections which are both modern and timeless. The recurring, fine details are a distinguishing feature, making a black trousers or a simple shirt something special.
These flights of fancy are supported by the finest materials such as viscose, lace and silk, combined with elegant Nappa and special laser-cut leather. The skilful material mix is rounded off by perfect workmanship.
The main focus consists in dressing women in a way that is feminine, attractive and appropriate to their figure. This approach is supported by a body shape calculator which gives the customer more confidence in the selection of the models to get the best possible result for every type of figure.
Another very important aspect is production in the EU at fair conditions. The fabric manufacturers, suppliers and the production companies are hand-picked by the designer herself to make sure that all the work is carried out under correct and fair conditions.
This means that the customer purchasing Grace Maier Munich is not only purchasing beautiful and high-quality designs, but can also wear them with a clear conscience.
